Summary of the Welder position:
Responsibilities of the Welder:As a Welder, you'll be at the forefront of operations responsible for laying out, fitting and fabricating metal components to create structural forms. Your craftsmanship will play a vital role in assembling components with a focus on welding techniques, metallurgy and engineering requirements.
- Location: Columbus, Nebraska
- Shifts Available: 1st Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm and 3rd Shift: Sunday to Wednesday, 8 pm to 6:30 am
- Pay: $20.50-23/hour
Duties of the Welder include:
Minimum Qualifications for the Welder position:
- Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions with precision and expertise.
- Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies using various welding equipment.
- Remove rough spots from workpieces ensuring a polished and flawless finish.
- Interpret drawings and plans, executing work accordingly.
- Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances with precision measuring equipment.
- Follow established schedules to meet drawing needs ensuring timely project completion.
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed for optimal performance.
Physical Requirements for the Welder position:
- Prior welding experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass an in-house welding test showcasing your skill and expertise.
- Safety-minded with attention to detail and a high standard of quality.
- Team player mentality with effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Capability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
- Willingness and ability to learn and perform other job responsibilities.
