Job Title: Payroll Specialist / Bookkeeper

Schedule: Monday Friday (flexible hours available)
Job Summary:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist / Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Columbus, NE. In this role, you ll help manage financial transactions, payroll, client accounts and reporting for multiple businesses. Key Responsibilities:
Record daily financial transactions (purchases, sales, receipts, payments)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Prepare financial reports including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
Assist with payroll processing and sales tax filings
Manage accounts payable and receivable
File quarterly tax and payroll reports
Communicate professionally with clients
Manage multiple client accounts with accuracy and confidence
What We re Looking For:
Strong communication skills able to explain financial information clearly
Organized and self-directed with strong attention to detail
Able to manage time and priorities across multiple tasks or client accounts
Comfortable working independently once trained
Familiarity with bookkeeping principles, accounting software and payroll systems is a plus
Preferred Experience:
Some experience in accounting, payroll, or bookkeeping (not required but a plus)
Associate s degree in Accounting (completed or near completion) is strongly preferred
